Location: Washington, DC
Issues: Taxes

In response to feedback from taxpayers and the tax professional community in Central Arkansas, Congressman Tim Griffin (AR-02) today announced a greater focus in his Little Rock office on assisting constituents with Internal Revenue Service (IRS) related matters.

"Over the past few months, I have met with Arkansans--especially job creators--who have expressed frustration with the IRS's burdensome processes and sometimes cumbersome customer service," Griffin said. "In an effort to help alleviate these problems, I am expanding our constituent outreach and have designated a trained staff member to help individuals navigate the IRS bureaucracy. In addition, we plan to work with tax professionals to identify ways in which we can make the IRS more responsive through the appeals process. I want to make it easier for my constituents to obtain answers to their questions and resolve their tax related issues."
