Fusion Center Critical To Nevada's Safety

Today, Congressman Heck made the following statement:
"Last week I toured the Southern Nevada Counter-Terrorism Center, our state's primary Fusion Center. This state-of-the-art center facilitates greater cooperation between local first responders and federal counter-terrorism specialists.
"The Hoover Dam and Las Vegas Strip make Southern Nevada a high value target for terrorism. This reality dictates Las Vegas must remain on the Urban Area Security Initiative (UASI) list. As a member of the House Intelligence Committee and the House Armed Services Committee I am working to ensure Nevada families are safe. Maintaining Las Vegas/Clark County's status on the UASI list is critical to that safety."
