HART TOURS WEXFORD ADULT EDUCATION FACILITY FOR WHICH SHE OBTAINED FUNDING

Wexford, PA- U.S. Rep. Melissa Hart today toured the construction site of the Regional Learning Alliance. In conjunction with U.S. Rep. Phil English and Senators Specter and Santorum, she obtained $200,000 in federal support for the project.

Spearheaded by Slippery Rock University, the Regional Learning Alliance will assemble many of the region's leading education providers to offer college classes, training, and professional development in a way that caters to the needs of working adults. Amenities include a virtual library, high-tech classrooms, childcare center and cafeteria.

Hart said, "Touring the site of the Regional Learning Alliance has left me with the impression that this project will be yield many benefits for the local economy and its residents. I'm glad that together with our Senators, and my colleague, Congressman English, we were able to contribute to the realization of this innovative concept."
