Blackburn Votes To Defund ObamaCare

Congressman Marsha Blackburn joined her colleagues on the Health Subcommittee in taking concrete action to permanently strip funding and programs from ObamaCare. The measures, which passed the House Energy and Commerce Committee's Health Subcommittee today, are concrete and durable steps to repeal and defund ObamaCare.

"ObamaCare will devastate Americans' health care system while it empties America's treasury. We can't put all our hopes to repeal and replace this law on the Senate's negotiations. Nor can we properly eliminate a mandatory program through a process dedicated to discretionary spending. I believe Congress has a duty to erase this unaccountable spending from the law once and for all, and repealing these programs is the way to do it. I am encouraged by the real and thoughtful work the Committee has done over the last several months to take concrete steps toward the permanent repeal and replacement of ObamaCare."
