Congressman David Rivera (FL-25) commented on the passage of the Small Business Paperwork Mandate Elimination Act of 2011, H.R. 4.

"The real job creators of our economy are small businesses. I've pledged to the constituents of Florida'25th district to work on creating jobs and growing our economy. Small business owners should not have to carry the additional burden of new reporting requirements and paperwork aimed at paying for Obamacare."

The bill, which Rivera co-sponsored, repeals the onerous new Form 1099 information reporting requirements that were imposed on small businesses to help pay for the Democrats' Health Care bill. More than 175 organizations and small businesses support 1099 repeal.

"Small business owners in South Florida and across the nation are worried about an unstable economy trying to get people back to work. The last thing they need are additional reporting requirements, regulations, or cost burdens," Rivera added.
