United States Senator Mary L. Landrieu, D-La., today issued a statement on the newly-released report from the U.S. Justice Department on its ten-month investigation of the New Orleans Police Department (NOPD).

Sen. Landrieu said:

"I trust the Justice Department's recommendations will provide a clear road map for the mayor, the city council and the police chief as they continue the work they have begun to bring on a new era in which our men and women in blue will consistently protect and serve the public with honor and integrity."
