U.S. Senator Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) today released the following statement after the earthquake and tsunami in Japan.

"My thoughts and prayers, and those of all West Virginians, are with the people of Japan today. They are true friends to our great state, and we will be there to assist them through this tragic disaster. My staff also stands ready to help any West Virginians who have concerns or need help with loved ones in Japan."
