Today, Congressman Tim Ryan (OH-17), member of the House Budget Committee and the House Armed Services Committee, made the following statement regarding President Obama's budget request for fiscal year 2012:

"President Obama's budget calls for smart investments that will enable Americans to create wealth in our region while reducing the deficit. His proposal is an important first step as Congress begins prioritizing programs that will revitalize our economy and strengthen the American manufacturing base. I look forward to working with my colleagues on the Budget Committee to shape a fair and responsible fiscal year 2012 budget."
