Federal Court Ruling on ObamaCare in Florida Means Senate Should Act Now

Press Release

Date: Jan. 31, 2011
Location: Washington, DC

With the ruling by Judge Roger Vinson in Pensacola, Florida today voiding ObamaCare, "because the individual mandate is unconstitutional and not severable, the entire Act must be declared void," Congressman Connie Mack immediately called on the U.S. Senate to take immediate action to repeal it.

Mack said:

"Today's ruling certifies the reason why the Senate should repeal ObamaCare in its entirety. With a federal judge in our home state ruling that the entirety of ObamaCare is unconstitutional, Floridians are looking to both U.S. Senators Nelson and Rubio to do the right thing for the taxpayers and use all procedural tools to bring the repeal of ObamaCare to the Senate floor and end this overreach by President Obama, the federal government and special interests."
