Bono Mack Vows to Fight FCC Power Grab

Congresswoman Mary Bono Mack (CA-45), Chairman of the Subcommittee on Commerce, Manufacturing and Trade, released the following statement upon Verizon's court challenge against the Federal Communications Commission's (FCC) plan to regulate the Internet:
"This is an historic overreach by the FCC. It's nothing short of a naked power grab. Americans need jobs, not senseless regulations that will only stifle innovation in America. Chairman Genachowski and the FCC have clearly exceeded their statutory authority in their attempts to regulate the internet. I will do everything possible to stop this effort dead in its tracks."
