We must reduce the number of regulatory burdens farmers face when they want to expand their farming operation. I will work hard to develop good agriculture policy with our farmers. The family farm is key to the vitality of rural Minnesota. I believe to protect their livelihoods, we must reduce the number of regulatory burdens farmers face when they want to expand their farming operation and, within reasonable bounds, let farmers determine what is best for their land. I believe we must also work to ensure that farmers get a full tax deduction on their capital equipment expenditures so they can continue to invest in better and more efficient farming practices. Profitable family farms are key to our state's economic success and I will work hard to develop good agriculture policy with our farmers.

I believe the 2008 changes to Green Acres needs to be repealed and advocate a simpler structure for property taxes.
