André Carson is working hard in Congress to help Indiana's economy recover from the severe recession that began in 2007. André supports ordinary Hoosiers on Main Street, not investment bankers and their lobbyists on Wall Street. He supported the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, which will direct nearly $800 billion to schools, health care, infrastructure improvements, and other programs that will spur job creation and prevent layoffs. This landmark legislation will save and create 75,000 jobs right here in Indiana and cut taxes for 95% of Americans. Finally, in his role on the Financial Services Committee, André has supported the recent financial reform bill, which will protect consumers from Wall Street abuses and prevent bailouts from ever happening again.
