Issue Position: Support of Veterans

Issue Position

* Supports veteran's programs that our veterans not only deserve, but that they have earned.

* Helped to create the Troops to Teachers Program to aid in transitioning retiring military personnel into teaching careers -- lead House cosponsor of legislation to improve the program and ensure Iraq and Afghanistan veterans can participate in the program.

* Votes to improve financial, health, housing and education programs for our veterans.

* Supported successful efforts to reform "concurrent receipt" so that military retirees can keep military pension and disability compensation benefits.
