Washington, DC --- Following is a statement from Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen on the vile terrorist attacks in the Madrid Rail System.
"I condemn these terrorist attacks in the strongest possible terms. Nothing can explain this murderous savagery and it shows that the threat of terrorism affects the whole civilized world. I offer my deepest condolences to the Spanish people and to my good friend, Prime Minister Aznar. Today is indeed a very dark day for freedom and liberty but at the same time it underscores our
continued commitment to fight the terrorist scourge wherever it may appear."
