In this economic climate Vermonters have to be creative to grow. Opening a small business just as the stock market plunged in 2008, Mike knows how hard it has been. The legislature can help businesses tap into the unique branding opportunities that our state offers. Mike understands that our businesses can take advantage of Vermont's green reputation. He recognizes the connection between our small businesses and farms. We should create incentives for unemployed workers to get new training and education, which encourages businesses to hire them. More than anything we should be proud of our county and our state, promoting our products and attracting new employers who want to grow and invest here in a sustainable way.
