Our veterans risked life and limb to ensure the freedoms that allow for our way of life, and we owe them our respect and support in return for their service. Connecticut has approximately 250,000 veterans, and the total number nationwide is approaching 25 million. As Senator, I will work to ensure that the promises our government made to veterans, including health care, disability compensation, pensions and GI Bill benefits, are fulfilled.
