Issue Position

* I will push for a change in the law requiring that all lines of pork barrel spending have a recorded vote so that it cannot sneak through hidden in a 200 page piece of legislation.

* I believe we need to have a pay-as-you-go approach to state debt. This means the state should pay for new buildings with cash and not go into debt.

* I believe the best way to grow employment opportunity is by increasing tax revenue, not by increasing taxes. I will introduce legislation to make Iowa competitive with surrounding states by proposing a 10% income tax reduction over a four year period.
