Issue Position

The Riley Administration has brought new industry to Alabama, and that has been a key to our economic success. As a city councilman in Madison, I know the importance of job growth to our economy. That's why I will work to bring new businesses to District 2. But I also believe the state must provide incentives to existing business and industry as well. We must do more to help struggling businesses keep their doors open and viable in these tough times. The number one goal of economic development should be jobs -- how many jobs a project creates and what those jobs pay.
