SB 529 was a major piece of legislation for the unborn. It would have made it illegal to abort a baby on the basis of gender or race. But the choice crowd fought it every step of the way.

Tom Weldon voted for it in committee and was prepared to support and fight for it in front of the House. However, the bill did not reach the floor.

Representative Weldon and other pro-life legislators will be meeting during the summer and fall to continue to come up with ideas to keep fighting for the unborn.
