* The right to keep and bear arms

The Second Amendment of the United States Constitution contains the following:

"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."

Our forefathers didn't just suggest that it was a good idea that the people be able to own firearms. By adopting the Second Amendment to the Constitution they made it clear that law abiding citizens have the right to bear arms, and that the state shall not infringe upon that right. The 2nd Amendment to the Constitution is a core value to the Bill of Rights and its purpose is essential to our survival as a free country. Any argument to the contrary not only demeans the sacrifices that generations of our armed forces have made, it also is a step toward the ultimate demise of our country. There are few issues that I'm as unwaiverable on as this one. I will always fight to make sure we protect the right to own firearms.
