Stabenow Congratulates Miss USA Rima Fakih

U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow (D-MI) today made the following statement regarding the crowning of Miss Michigan USA as the winner of the Miss USA pageant.

"I am proud, as everyone across Michigan is today, that our own Miss Michigan Rima Fakih from Dearborn was crowned Miss USA 2010. Her win is a great source of pride to all of us across Michigan, as it highlights the diversity of our nation and our great state. A graduate of the University of Michigan-Dearborn, she traveled the state as Miss Michigan and saw the many events and areas that make Michigan so great. Now, she will be able to share those experiences across the country during her reign as Miss USA with the same intelligence, elegance and pride. I send my congratulations to Rima Fakih and to all her family and friends, and I look forward to her win at the Miss Universe competition."
