Tiberi Statement On House Passage Of Democrats' Health Care Plan

U.S. Congressman Pat Tiberi (R-OH) issued the following statement following the Democrats' passage of their flawed health care plan:

"It's a disappointing day for the hundreds of millions of Americans who don't want to see their taxes rise, who don't want government inserted into the relationship they have with their doctor, who don't want to see the government spend another trillion dollars, who don't want taxpayer-funded abortion signed in to law, and who actually want to see the cost of their health care go down. The slick tactics and shadowy back room deals used to convince Democrats to back their liberal leaders and support this health care reform should have been a signal, that an overwhelming majority of Americans don't want this plan. We all agree, health care reform is needed in this country, but not this way and not with these bills."
