Democrats Vote "No" To Assist Small Businesses
The Democrat leadership yesterday rejected all ten, commonsense amendments offered by U.S. Representative Paul Broun, M.D. (GA-10) that would ease some of the financial burden for families and small businesses subjected to the government's unconstitutional and unaffordable health care mandate:
"President Obama and Congressional leaders have repeatedly touted their intention to create jobs," said Broun. "I submitted several commonsense, bi-partisan amendments to help curb the job loss and massive tax burdens on families and small businesses, all of which were dismissed outright. The Democrats' "NO' vote demonstrates that job creation is just a good talking point, but they have no intentions to translate this rhetoric into reality."

#1: Provides individuals 100% tax deductibility for all medical expense- REJECTED by Pelosi and Slaughter
#2: Exempts any business whose gross revenues per year do not exceed $500,000 from all employer mandates- REJECTED by Pelosi and Slaughter
#3: Requires any business that is characterized as a minority owned business or small business concern (as defined by section 3 of the Small Business Act, 15 U.S.C. 632) is exempt from all employer mandates- REJECTED by Pelosi and Slaughter
#4: Exempts any business whose gross revenues have declined from the previous fiscal year from all employer mandates. -- REJECTED by Pelosi and Slaughter
#5: Reforms EMTALA; provide for cooperative governing of individual health insurance coverage; and provide for Association Health Plans. - REJECTED by Pelosi and Slaughter
