Rob Curnock Issues Statement on Delasandro Endorsement

Statement

Date: March 4, 2010

Rob Curnock, Republican candidate for Congress in District 17, tonight issued the following statement concerning the endorsement of Timothy Delasandro, former candidate for Congress in the District 17 race:

"I am grateful for the support and help of Timothy Delasandro as we approach the April 13 runoff election. I have come to know Timothy during the past few months of the campaign, and I appreciate his passionate and honest devotion to our Constitution and to conservative values.

"Many conservatives in District 17 respected Timothy for that devotion, and supported him with their vote. Over the coming weeks I hope to earn their support as a common-sense conservative, firmly committed to less government, lower taxes and more personal freedom.

"Americans everywhere are clamoring for change in Washington, for a return to the basic principles outlined in our founding documents. Our part in 2010 is to elect a congressman who understands that the role of a representative is to listen to us and represent our values. As conservatives in Central Texas unite behind our campaign, we are more confident than ever that 2010 is the year that we do just that."

Delasandro has posted his endorsement message on his former campaign web site.

Curnock broke ground in 2008 as the Republican candidate for Congress in District 17, running within a few percentage points of a long-time incumbent. The District 17 seat is now a top priority for the party in 2010, and the Curnock campaign is leading the way, with a grassroots campaign built on volunteers and a common-sense conservative message that resonates with Central Texans.
