Issue Position

I want to stop coddling illegal immigrants and secure our borders. Close the underground tunnels. Stop the violence and the trafficking in drugs and people. From all borders. No amnesty. Period.

This isn't to be confused with legal immigration which I have no problem supporting. It takes great courage to leave the only life you've ever known, to come to a strange place, for try for a better life by way of the American dream.

We cannot afford the illegal immigrants! They bring crime and cost taxpayers billions every year to educate, house, feed and provide medical care for them.

I also favor an amendment that does not give automatic citizenship to the children of illegal aliens born on U.S. soil. Citizenship should be denied to these anchor babies and their parents deported. It's time to take a stand for our LEGAL citizens, and deport them -- or we are going to be in the same situation as California in a few years thanks to the enormous number of illegal aliens in the People's Republic of Chicago/Cook County!
