Lamborn Pledges To Repeal Government Takeover Of Health Care

Press Release

Date: Jan. 21, 2010

Congressman Doug Lamborn (CO-05) announced that he has pledged to repeal any federal takeover of health care that might pass this year. So far 26 lawmakers in Washington have taken the pledge. It is sponsored by the Club for Growth. The pledge reads:

I, Doug Lamborn, hereby pledge to the people of my district, (CO-05),

to sponsor and support legislation to repeal any federal health care

takeover passed in 2010, and replace it with real reforms that lower

health care costs without growing government.

"From Massachusetts to Colorado, Americans are rejecting big government. The Democrats' massive healthcare bill to take over one-sixth of our economy has come to symbolize all that is wrong with government. I will do my part to ensure that the American people are not forced to live under a system that restricts freedom and personal liberty." -- Congressman Doug Lamborn (CO-05)
