House Armed Services Committee Member Carol Shea-Porter released the following statement regarding a resolution recognizing the attacks of September 11, 2001. The resolution was approved by the House by a vote of 416 to 0.

"September 11, 2001 is a day we must never forget. What started as a peaceful Tuesday morning turned into a day of unprecedented horror and sadness. We experienced the worst terrorist attacks in our nation's history, and nearly 3,000 innocent Americans were killed. This resolution honors those who died and helps ensure that the events of that fateful day will never be forgotten."
