"I call on the Senate to join the House and provide car makers the opportunity to bring solvency - and long-needed restructuring -- to the auto industry. While the Auto Industry Financing and Restructuring Act may not be ideal, it is a worker's protection act that will allow millions whose jobs are connected to the auto industry to remain employed and prevent an even worsening economic crisis."
