As we celebrate our nation's independence, let us pause to remember the thousands of our fellow citizens who are deployed across the world answering our nation's call in the pursuit of freedom. We must also do everything we can to show our eternal gratitude for those servicemembers and their loved ones, who have made the ultimate sacrifice to protect our independence.
