Landrieu Announces $12M Investment in LA Military Facilities

United States Senator Mary Landrieu, D-La., today announced that Louisiana will receive an additional $12,001,000 investment in Louisiana military facilities. These Recovery Act funds will be invested in 59 military improvement projects at 22 locations. Upgrades will include roof repairs and improvements to electrical, heating and cooling systems.

"Louisianians who selflessly serve our country deserve state-of-the-art, modern facilities," Sen. Landrieu said. "These funds are a wise investment in the upgrading of our military infrastructure."

In March, Sen. Landrieu announced that Louisiana would receive $50.9 million from the Recovery Act for 40 military facility improvement projects. Those funds went to Fort Polk, Camp Beauregard, Camp Minden, Belle Chasse, Lafayette, Barksdale and the Joint Reserve Base in New Orleans.
