With 12 days to go until the election, US Senator Lindsey Graham made the rounds Wednesday night in his re-election bid.

Graham was welcomed by two local Republican mayors, Marilyn Hatley of North Myrtle Beach and John Rhodes of Myrtle Beach, at a Republican meeting.

Besides his own campaign, Graham has been pushing hard for his friend John McCain.

Graham says "Joe the Plumber" represents many small business owners, and the Barack Obama plan would increase taxes.

"Expand their business and create new jobs. You don't create a job for Myrtle Beach, South Carolina in Washington, DC. So this idea of raising taxes is a lousy idea."

Graham faces North Myrtle Beach engineer Bob Conley in the election.
