Governor Beshear Statement on Louisville Gas Prices
"Earlier this summer, it became increasingly apparent that Louisville's gas prices were higher than surrounding regions, and I instructed my administration to analyze relevant fuel price data. Our analysis has found that there does not appear to be a problem at the retail level, but rather at the wholesale level. With hard-working Kentuckians having to choose between groceries for their families and gas to get to work, I am determined to get to the bottom of this inequity, and am working with Attorney General Conway and Mayor Abramson to determine our next steps. We plan to move quickly and aggressively to protect the interest of consumers and families in Louisville."
