NAPOLITANO ENDORSES OBAMA

Governor Janet Napolitano has endorsed Senator Barack Obama's bid for the President of the United States.

"Senator Obama understands the independence of voters, particularly here in Arizona," said Governor Napolitano. "I believe in his ability to unite Democrats, Republicans and Independents, and to lead our country to real change."

"Janet Napolitano has fought for increased teacher pay, improved educational opportunities for our children and for a more forward thinking approach to the economy. As a leading western Governor she has a record of fighting for change and innovation in this country and I am proud to have her support," said Senator Barack Obama.

Governor Napolitano will join Senator Obama to campaign in Nevada tonight. The Nevada caucuses are set for a week from tomorrow.

"Senator Obama's message of hope and change is exactly what we need at a time when cynicism about government and politics is at an all-time high. I look forward to working with him," said Governor Napolitano.
