CONGRESSMAN DAN BURTON ANNOUNCES $150,000 FEDERAL GRANT TO REHABILITATE TAXIWAY AT MOUNT COMFORT AIRPORT

Congressman Dan Burton [R-IN-05] announced today that the Federal Aviation Administration was awarding a $150,000 grant to the Indianapolis Airport Authority in order to restore the taxiway at the Mount Comfort Airport, which is located 12 miles east of Indianapolis in Hancock County.

Said Burton, "I am glad that my office was able to help the Indianapolis Airport Authority secure the vitally needed funds to renovate the taxiway at Mount Comfort Airport; which first began operations in 1977." Concluded Burton, "Over the last thirty year Mount Comfort Airport has become an important destination for Indiana's General Aviation community. The repairs to the taxiway will ensure that Mount Comfort is able to serve Hoosiers for another thirty years."
