Statement Following Presidential Veto of U.S. Troop Readiness, Veterans' Health and Iraq Accountability Act

"With the stroke of his veto pen, the President has turned his back on the will of the American people, the welfare of U.S. soldiers, and the way out of Iraq.

"The President's veto is a de facto military escalation of this war and there will be more U.S. and Iraqi casualties because of it.

"The Iraq war is not in the best interests of America's national security, and the President's veto today is his latest denial of reality."
