Van Hollen Calls for Immediate Release of Israeli Soldiers
Congressman Chris Van Hollen (D-MD) joined Congressmen Gary Ackerman (D-NY), Tom Lantos (D-CA) and other legislators in cosponsoring a Resolution calling for the release of Israeli soldiers being held captive by Hamas and Hezbollah.
"It is long past time for these soldiers to be released as was called for by the terms of last summer's U.N. Security Council Resolution 1701 following the hostilities in Lebanon and Northern Israel," said Congressman Van Hollen. "I urge the international community to join us in bringing these men home."
