Akin Statement on Iraq Study Group Report

Today Congressman Todd Akin (R-MO), a member of the House Armed Services Committee released the following statement regarding the Iraq Study Group Report:

"Since the President asked for the report, I am sure he will give the suggestions of the Iraq Study Group ample consideration.

"War is never a simple situation and innovative perspectives and thoughtful analysis of alternatives are always welcome. On the other hand, we need to be careful not to try to run a war by committee."
