SWEENEY HONORED AGAIN FOR COMMITMENT TO LOCAL BUSINESSES

Washington, D.C., Oct 17 - Yesterday Congressman Sweeney was once again honored by the business community for his continued commitment to strengthening the Upstate economy, for helping to create jobs, and for making the 20th Congressional District a better place to live work and raise a family. Our Congressman proudly accepted the National Association of Manufacturing (NAM) Award for Manufacturing Legislative Excellence for his ongoing leadership in Washington D.C. on behalf of Upstate New York manufacturers.

"I am honored to receive this award for my steadfast commitment to Upstate New York manufacturers. Manufacturers have been critical to the economic foundation that has made America great, and I am working hard to see that Upstate New York manufacturing is thriving," said Sweeney.

Congressman Sweeney accepted the award at MeadWestVaco, a company located in Sidney, Delaware County that employs 1100 people. Our Congressman fought for and supported the company in their successful case with the U.S. International Trade Commission.
