Cubin Commends British Authorities for Disrupting Aircraft Terror Bomb Plot

Casper, WY -- U.S. Representative Barbara Cubin (R-WY) today commended British authorities for disrupting a major terrorist plot to detonate bombs smuggled onto multiple aircraft with flight plans from Britain to the United States.

"I offer my highest praise and heartfelt thanks to the British law enforcement agents who uncovered this terrorist plot," Representative Cubin stated. "Their heroic work put a stop to a plan that would have caused a heartbreaking loss of many innocent lives."

"This victory is also a sobering reminder that the Global War on Terror is not over," she continued. "America must remain vigilant in our pursuit of the terrorist forces who continue to plot violence and bloodshed in an attempt to destroy peaceful, democratic societies. The American government has no greater obligation to the people of this nation than to protect their freedom and their safety. I will continue to give my full support to America's Armed Forces as they fight to defeat the forces of terror. Terror will not - and must not - prevail."
