Issue Position: Crime and Sex Offenders
Children are our most precious resource, and we must do everything we can to protect them. Recognizing the need for legislation that is tough on sex offenders, I have cosponsored S. 1086, the Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act of 2005. I support the creation of a nation-wide sex offender registration and notification program, which requires sex offenders to provide any change of address and the name, address, and telephone number of their employer.
