What's it going to take to get Jim Talent to quit giving more of our money to big oil? $5 a gallon?

I mean really, what's it going to take? They just keep handing our money over to these oil companies that are making record profits while we pay outrageous prices at the pump. Just this week, the Republicans in Washington, including our own Jim Talent, increased taxes for Missouri students, teachers, and families in order to finance $5 billion in tax cuts for big oil. Just by removing the College Tuition Tax Deduction alone, 64,506 Missouri students and their families effectively had their taxes raised by as much as $153 billion!

Time and time again they side with big oil. This vote came only weeks after Jim Talent told Missourians that Washington "gets it" as he offered his plan to give folks $100 as a solution to high gas prices. If Jim Talent and Washington really "get it", why would they finance tax cuts to Exxon Mobil on the backs of hard working Missourians who are trying to put their kids through college? Instead he thinks he can send us a $100 check and everything will be ok.
