Education is the key to our success as a nation, and the education of our children are a number one priority. What is missing in helping school districts from reaching those goals set by the NCLB, is the lack of funding from our federal government. If NCLB cannot be fully funded the penalties placed on districts must be relaxed. It is unreasonable to expect full compliance from school districts that are financially unable to meet federal mandate goals, which place additional burdens on our communities. By under- funding the NCLB community/state taxes will continue to rise to meet the federal demands. To achieve the goals set by the "No Child Left Behind, we need to fund fully the NCLB to school districts to decrease our property taxes.
