SENATOR KENNEDY RESPONDS TO PRESIDENT BUSH'S MEDICARE REMARKS
Washington, D.C. -- Today, Senator Edward M. Kennedy released the following statement in response to President Bush's remarks at his Medicare event where he admitted there were some "glitches" in the program. The event was in Jefferson City, Missouri:
"The Medicare drug plan has more than 'glitches'. As seniors around the country know, a drug program written by the special interests and for the special interests is fundamentally flawed. It's the wrong prescription for Medicare, and seniors deserve better."
