"I am heartened that the United Auto Workers have successfully negotiated tentative agreements that will give employees at the Big Three auto companies the wages and benefits they have earned. As we continue to transition into the 21st century economy, we must make sure we never leave American workers behind. It is my hope and expectation that the record contracts secured by the UAW will lay the groundwork for the continued growth of organized labor and prosperity for workers across our economy.

When industry and organized labor come together to lift up the great American middle class dream, everybody wins. House Democrats will continue to stand with UAW and together we're going to continue to build an economy that works for everyday Americans."
