"The House Republican plan is a roadmap to ruin for Americans trying to make ends meet, and proof that Republicans are committed as ever to cutting Medicare and Medicaid while allowing Social Security to wither. This plan should inform all Americans where Republicans' priorities lie: showering riches on megacorporations and wealthy tax cheats, and cutting your earned benefits by raising the retirement age and undermining Medicare's guarantee of health care benefits. Their plan lets Big Pharma off the hook by repealing Medicare's authority to negotiate drug prices that Democrats passed last year, and slashes Medicaid to the bone, which will threaten critical care like the program's nursing home benefit that our parents count on. The House Republican plan is a disaster for working families, and I'll fight it every step of the way."
