"Today I visited my hometown of East St. Louis & met with residents in Cahokia Heights to discuss the impact of flooding in the region after July's record-breaking storms.

Aging sewer/storm water systems combined with climate-driven weather changes are putting families at risk.

I have delivered $28 million in federal funding for Cahokia Heights for critical infrastructure projects to help provide effective solutions for area residents, and will continue working to ensure they have the support they need to fix these problems."
