Date: June 13, 2022
Location: Washington, DC

Congressman John Joyce M.D. (PA-13) spoke today on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives, in recognition of National Dairy Month.

"In Congress, I'm proud to represent the incredible dairy farmers of PA-13 who operate our farms, and work to provide milk, butter, and yogurt that Americans rely on each and every day," said Congressman Joyce. "As a doctor, I've seen firsthand the advantage that providing whole milk has for our nation's young people."

Pennsylvania's 13th district is home to more dairy cows than any other district in the Commonwealth. To help address the lack of whole milk in our nation's schools, Congressman Joyce co-sponsored H.R. 1861, the Whole Milk for Healthy Kids Act of 2021, which would allow for unflavored and flavored whole milk to once again be offered in school cafeterias.
