Larson Votes to Provide Additional Support to Ukraine

Today, Rep. John B. Larson (CT-01) released the following statement after voting to provide nearly $40 billion in emergency funding to support Ukraine as they fight Russia's unprovoked war.

"We stand today, tomorrow, and always with the people of Ukraine and their fight for freedom. The world is watching Russia's unwarranted and tragic attack on Ukraine while experiencing rising prices and food insecurity as a result," Larson said. "The Additional Ukraine Supplemental Appropriations Act will provide Ukraine with funding to defend itself and its democracy against Putin's attack, hold Russian oligarchs accountable, address growing food insecurity, and support refugees. The United States has led our allies and partner nations in standing firm against Russia's aggression and supporting Ukraine, and this package is our commitment to continue to do so."
