Murphy Statement on SCOTUS Draft Opinion Leak

Today, Rep. Greg Murphy, M.D. (NC-03) released the following statement condemning last night's U.S. Supreme Court draft opinion leak regarding the Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization case.

"Yesterday's unprecedented leak undermines the integrity of the judicial process and it must be thoroughly investigated," said Murphy. "The American people will not tolerate this unethical breach designed to intimidate, disrupt, and obstruct the Justices from upholding their Constitutional obligations. If the draft opinion holds, the legality of abortion will return to the states where the American people will make a decision through their elected officials. As a practicing physician and a lawmaker, I will continue to uphold the sanctity of life and defend those who cannot defend themselves. I pray that our Supreme Court will ultimately protect the right to life."
