Rep. Crawford Announces Arkansas Delta Oral History Project

Today, Representative Rick Crawford (AR-01) announced an effort to compile an oral history of African American settlement in the delta region of Arkansas. This effort is being led by the Delta Region Economic Advancement Mission (DREAM) Council with facilitation by Crawford's office.

They will be collecting information from the Library of Congress, the Smithsonian African American History museum, and other entities. The group also will help facilitate meetings with universities to discuss how to gather and preserve information.

Joseph Campbell, Dean for General Education at Arkansas State University-Newport

Lynn Caldwell Hawkins, Chief Officer of Membership & University Partnerships at Arkansas Rural Health Partnership
